Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site consists of a paved parking area adjacent to a 13,000-square foot, three-story building, which is located at the abutting lot and was constructed in 1910. The site was initially occupied by an ice cream manufacturer until approximately 1970, when the site began to be used as a jewelry manufacturing facility. Jewelry production activities at the site ceased in the late 1990s, when the site was purchased and occupied by the Primitive Methodist Church. The site was purchased by the Plainfield Professional Complex in 2005 and then by the current owner, OpenDoors, in 2007. The site has remained vacant since 2005, but is currently being redeveloped into transitional housing for individuals recently released from incarceration.
