Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The former Standard Shade Roller site manufactured window treatments such as shades and blinds up to the early 1990s. Since 1996 the site has been vacant. The site is adjacent to the St. Lawrence River and is located in a mixed commercial and residential neighborhood. The City of Ogdensburg took title to the property on August 21, 2007 due to the foreclosure of real property taxes. The facility is comprised of multi-story buildings which cover approximately 60 of the site. Past investigations have documented volatile organic compounds, semivolatile organic compoinds, metals, PCBs, petroleum, and asbestos in site soils, groundwater, an in the on-site buildings.
