Additional Property Attributes

Site was occupied by a vacant commercial building and an asphalt parking lot at the time of the Phase I ESA. Had been residential, a gasoline service station, a convenience store, and most recently a retail clothing store. Building was condemned in 2007 and has been vacant since then.

Former Use: This approximately 0.12-acre corner lot site was occupied by two residences from at least 1899 to 1927. The site was redeveloped as a gasoline station by the early 1930s, expanding to a service station from the early 1950s to the mid-1960s. It was redeveloped as a convenience store by the late 1960s, and as a clothing store in the early 2000s, and has been vacant since 2007 when it was condemned. Past owners have included Dawson Squires Fletcher Austen prior to 1948, Standard Oil from 1948 to 1996, Chi Property Management LLC from 1996 to 2011. Site was transferred to the Washtenaw County Treasurer�s office in 2011, and auctioned later in the year.
