Property Highlights

The property consists of four vacant parcels of undeveloped land with 240 feet of frontage on the Niagara River. The property is adjacent to the former 102nd Street Landfill which is an NPL site and is within 1/8 of a mile of Love Canal. Former Use: The site is undeveloped property that was used for fill and dumping purposes. Some portions of the site have up to 10.5 feet of fill with unknown origin. The Town of Wheatfield purchased the property with the intention of developing a waterfront park at the site. Additional investigation is required to determine the nature and extent of contamination. Once known, plans for the park can be advanced.
