Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property has historically been used as a railroad freight depot for the adjacent rail lines. The three buildings on the property are a freight house, warehouse and coal shed. The freight house was built in the 1860s for the railroad. The warehouse was built in in the 1920s or 1930s for the purpose of grain storage and as a milk-house. Most recently an Agway store and a bus fueling and parking area were located on the property. The Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum uses a portion of the warehouse building, while the remaining portion of the property is used for storage.
