Additional Property Attributes

Property was part of the historic Vermont Marble Company facility. The Rutland Region Brownfields Reuse Program has active assessments on two adjacent parcels which were also used by the Vermont Marble Company. The Preservation Trust of Vermont has purchased the Vermont Marble Museum Exhibit in 2013 and the entire property on 12/14/14. A CAP/ABCA has been prepared with funding from a FY14 EPA CW Assessment award and submitted with a FY 15 EPA Cleanup application for site remediation. Redevelopment plans for the site include commercial and industrial uses. The project is a component of the Proctor Prosperity Plan, which is guiding the redevelopment of the Proctor village center.

Former Use: Construction at the site is nearly complete and the renovated commercial and industrial space will soon be in use.
