Additional Property Attributes

The subject property was historically used as a marine filling station since at least the 1990s. The City of Monroe in interested in acquiring the property for future donation to the National Parks Service.

Former Use: The property was developed with a residential dwelling prior to 1913. Boat houses were constrcuted between 1916 and 1940. A commerical building was constructed in approxiamtely 1960. In addition to the residence, the property was formerly used as a bait and tackle shop, convenience store, and marine fueling station. The property is currently unnoccupied. Lewis and Joan Roe currently own the subject property.
