Additional Property Attributes

The property is immediately adjacent to the Cuyahoga River and a recreational trail. A potential end user plans to retain and create jobs by consolidating his operations after renovating the facility. The building will be the first to pursue designation in a newly-created historical district in the City. Of all contaminants found, only the TPH and TCE in soil adjacent to building required clean-up. The renovation of the building has been completed and the owner of Triad/Next Level began operations at this property in January 2016. The building's renovations can be tracked at http://fallsfoundry.com

Former Use: The property contains a vacant facility which was used in the late 1920s for machining. The property was used for industrial purposes until 2008. Operations consisted of machining and assembly, metal stamping and welding and painting. The surrounding area has been used since the late 1800s for residential, commercial and industrial land uses. There is documentation of multiple releases, historical RECs, and LUSTs. More recent surrounding land uses are auto-related. Prior owner was BWC Ltd. which sold the property to current owner after completion of this ESA.
