Additional Property Attributes

This vacant commercial property sits along an unimproved section of the Atlanta BeltLine (in Subarea 9). Since the 1950s, a car repair shop has operated on the property. Kudzu vegetation has taken over the vacant land. An automotive salvage yard with underground storage tanks has operated on the site next door for several decades. During 2015, the City's Brownfield Program conducted a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) and Limited Phase II ESA on the two parcels that make up the property. The ESA's were part of a due diligence effort for a private developer to purchase the property. The property transacted after the Phase I ESA for $70,000. The property sits less than a half-mile from the Bankhead MARTA station and the large redevelopment projects occurring along this section of Proctor Creek. This portion of the BeltLine is primed for redevelopment. It is only a matter of time that this brownfield will be transformed into some form of mixed-use, residential development.

Former Use: Since the 1950s, a car repair shop has operated on the property. Kudzu vegetation has taken over the vacant land. An automotive salvage yard with underground storage tanks has operated on the site next door for several decades.
