Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The original mill building was constructed in approximately 1908. The first documented occupant was the Lafayette Worsted Company in 1911. At that time, the property was abutted to the east and west by the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Rail Road. In 1950, the mill building was part of a larger textile mill complex operated by Argonne Worsted Company. Ariller Electric Company occupied the mill building from 1965 to 1967. In 1967, Miller Electric occupied the mill. The most recent occupants of the mill were the Forte Kashmir Company and the most recent owner, FDS Industries. The City of Woonsocket acquired the property from FDS Industries in 2004 through tax title. A large fire destroyed the main mill building in 2006.
