Additional Property Attributes

Previous Phase II performed on-site (outside of Brownfields Program) identified chlorinated solvents in the Groundwater from an unknown source. Phase I performed on-site in March 2016 as part of Brownfields Program identified several RECs on-site that required additional investigation. Phase II indicated chlorinated solvent impact to the groundwater and elevated arsenic concentrations in the soil. Further assessment is underway to evaluate the source of the impact and to evaluate closure options under the VCP.

Former Use: Historically, the site has consisted of vacant land from at least 1942 until 1968, when the current on-site structure was constructed. The site occupants historically consisted of distributors, Specialty Coatings, a photographer and a confection company in the early 1970s; Arkwright Company and Rocky Mountain Bank Note Printers in the late 1970s; Stek Chef Printers, Lorain Products, Gibco Serum Company, and Acro Fasteners in the early 1980s; Ultramatic Machine Shop in the 1980s; RSR Wholesale Gun, HL Electronics, and St. Louis Serum Company in the late 1980s and early 1990s; HL Electronics, Serum Technologies and Jolis Nail Products in the mid-1990s; HL Electronics in the late 1990s; Chefo from 2000 to 2010, CTI Arlington in 2010 and ATLAS Copco Tools in 2013.
