Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Property Description: The approximate 4.6-acre property is developed with a residence and associated sheds in its northeastern portion, but largely undeveloped in the northwestern and southeastern portions. Remnants of a foundation from previous development are present in the northwestern portion of the property. History and Past Ownership: Current owner has owned the Property since 2003 during which time it has been used for residential purposes and to store construction fill. The residence has been on the property for more than 50 years. Approximately ten years ago, soil generated during the grading and construction of Springhill Storage at 150 Spring Hill Drive, approximately 3,700 feet northeast of the property, was placed on western portion of the property, and the area south of the residence. The previous owner, Mr. Rodgers (first name unknown), used the western portion of the property as a blacksmith shop to make tractor plows and other farming equipment for about 50 to 60 years. Mr. Rodgers stored various tractor parts, tires, metal debris, and other miscellaneous materials and equipment in the western portion of the property. The property was used by Nevada County as a maintenance yard sometime during the 1940s.
