Former Use: The subject property was occupied by the Waite Grass Carpet Co., from 1912-1966, Lenox Candles, Inc. from 1971-1981 and a variety of businesses from 1991-2011. These businesses include Gray Marine (1991-2001), and a machine shop (2001-2006). Property use dating back to 1912 has been determined, but not property use prior to 1912. The subject site was purchased by the Housing Authority of the City of Oshkosh, WI (OHA) on December 27, 2012. The zoning for the site has been changed from industrial to commercial. OHA plans to renovate the south building into 56 units for public housing. Regarding the north building, OHA plans to convert this space into indoor parking, a daycare and office space.
