Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The irregular-shaped, approximately 57-acre site was previously part of the Idaho Maryland Mine, which is no longer in operation. A lumber mill (Hap Warnke Mill) currently operates in the northern portion of the Site, near the intersection of Idaho Maryland Road and Centennial Drive. The remainder of the Site is vacant, largely forested land. Evidence of former mining activities is most apparent on the northwestern portion of the Site where two concrete decanting towers and mine tailings were observed. Several trails and unimproved (unpaved) roads extend across the property, likely originally from historical use, but currently used by an extensive homeless population. The Site is surrounded by vacant land and light industrial and commercial uses.
