Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property consists of a 1.3-acre parcel of land that is currently occupied by the vacant former Good Samaritan Hospital. Review of historical aerial photographs, Sanborn maps and city directories indicate that in 1905 the property was primarily residential. Beginning in 1925 the Good Samaritan Hospital appears in historical documents and the property was a mix of residential and medical uses until around 1949. After 1949 its use became primarily medical in nature with the hospital centrally located on the property and a nurses home located on the east side of the property. From that point forward, the use of the subject property was exclusively medical in nature and included the hospital, a nursing home, doctors offices, a pharmacy and a medical laboratory.
