Additional Property Attributes

The Site is considered a combination of the two properties addressed as 2 First Street and West Fulton Street South Side. The Site is currently owned by 19 Grove LLC and Montrose Railroad Company. The Site has been developed with a railroad since at least 1927 and totals 1.24 acres between the two properties. Historically, the Site functioned as a portion of the Fonda, Johnstown, and Gloversville Railroad and a parking area. The Site has not featured any buildings since at least 1887. Cayadutta Creek flows through the western portion of the Site and along the northern property boundary. A railroad bridge crossing Cayadutta Creek is located onsite.The Site was historically surrounded by tanneries to the north, west and southwest. East of the Site is a former railroad freight and repair yard. South of the Site are residential properties. The area of the Site has been used for industrial purposes since at least 1887. No industrial operations were historically depicted for the Site on the reviewed Sanborn Maps.
