Additional Property Attributes

The Site is currently owned by Eastside Broad Street Gloversville, Inc. The Site has been developed since at least 1887. Mr. Matthew Smrtic of Colonial Tanning is listed as the property contact for the owners. One (1) 4,682 square foot warehouse building is located in the central portion of the property. The Site is 0.79 acres and previously acted as a part of the Montrose Railroad and Fonda, Johnstown, and Gloversville Railroad freight yard. Historically, the Site also featured a flour and grain shed, a glass and crockery storage shed, and a carpenter shop. The Site is currently improved with a warehouse building in the center of the property. Cayadutta Creek flows along the southern property boundary of the Site. The warehouse's current use is not known. A small asphalt driveway is present on the west side of the Site. The Site building has historically operated as a rail car house and featured railroad tracks that lead into the eastern side of the building. The building was also used as a bus garage. Surrounding properties included oil storage structures, railroad freight yard buildings, coal sheds, machine shops and a rail car repair shop.
