Additional Property Attributes

This site is centrally located within West Liberty, along with several others in the immediate area that have long been on a list of blighted properties that the Town desired to raze. These sites are ideal locations for redevelopment, and the current condition impacts community welfare and safety. Once the dangerous and dilapidated structure and its associated liability is removed, the site will be more attractive to prospective purchasers and developers. As West Liberty University continues to grow, the need for off-campus student housing continues to grow as well, and these sites are potential student housing sites. The project will also improve the overall property values in West Liberty and will enhance beautification of the area for residents. The Town of West Liberty plans to use Community Development Block Grant (CBDG) funds to demolish the structure and clear the property for reuse.
