Additional Property Attributes

No RECs were identified during the Phase I assessment. Suspect ACMs were identified as broken plaster and vinyl floor tile. The owner has been advised to perform an asbestos survey if renovation or demolition is planned. This property and 308 E. Commercial are located adjacent to each other. The owner plans to sell or renovate the property in the very near future.

Former Use: The property has been vacant and previously utilized for personal storage by the owner since 1997. From approximately 1981-1997, the property remained predominately vacant with a residence and toy store present for brief periods of time. Star Barber Shop and various residential tenants occupied the site from approximately 1948 to 1981. From approximately 1919 to 1948, the subject property was predominantly residential, however Alka-Derma Company, Inc, a medicine manufacturer, was present in the early 1930s. A clothing store, millinery and dressmaker, jewelry and notions store, and a residence occupied the site from 1884-1919. Prior to that time, a different structure utilized as a tailor and residence occupied the north portion of the site. The south portion remained predominantly undeveloped with the occasional storage shed throughout time.
