Additional Property Attributes

No RECs were identified on this property during the Phase I. Suspect ACMs were identified in the flooring, and the owner has been advised to perform an asbestos survey on the property if renovation or demolition is planned.

Former Use: The site has been developed since the 1880s, however the current building was constructed between 1896 and 1902.From approximately 2006 to the present, the subject property has been vacant and utilized as Cotton's Bar, Birdie's Bar, Birdie's Tavern, and Paul's Bar since the late 1960s. Prior to that time, the subject property was utilized as residential space for various tenants and office space for Central Mortgage Company, E. Wayne Collinson, Investors Loan Company, Springfield Real Estate Board, Max W. Lilley, William R. Collinson and/or C.O. Sperry and Company. From 1910 to 1921, various stores occupied the property. It was undeveloped land for an unknown amount of time between 1896 and 1902. From approximately 1884 to 1896, the property consisted of a barber shop in the north portion and undeveloped land in the south portion.
