Additional Property Attributes

The US EPA tasked Tetra Tech, Inc. to conduct a Phase I and II ESA of the site under the Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START) contract EP-S5-13-01, Technical Direction Document (TDD) No. S05-0003-1606-200. The property is adjacent to properties used for vehicle maintenance, material storage, and a Class I railroad. The Phase II ESA and hazardous materials building survey indicated that ACM and lead-based paint are present in the building. In addition, regulated hazardous materials/universal wastes are present that require proper handling and disposal. The property is planned to be redeveloped as a community art center with professional office space.

Former Use: The property was historically operated as the Heat, Light and Water Building and also the General Services Building. The building is currently vacant and formerly contained municipal administrative offices, with a gravel parking lot and landscaping. The property is planned to be reused as a community art center with professional office space.
