Additional Property Attributes

The property located at 616 Linden Avenue in South San Francisco. The property includes a metered parking lot with surrounding planters and is bounded by residences, a green lot and small businesses. This is one of four properties that are part of the South San Francisco - Linden & Cypress Aves Targeted Brownfields Assessment project. Now an active parking lot, the property formerly hosted an automotive repair station with underground storage tanks that held regular unleaded gasoline and waste oil. Before that, the property had a residence with two buildings on the southern end of the lot. The City of South San Francisco would like to use the property as a catalyst for redevelopment and reinvestment in the neighborhood. The City of South San Francisco has an interest in redeveloping the property for a neighborhood park, a cultural center, affordable housing, mixed-use ground-floor commercial buildings or some combination of these.
