Habitat for Humanity St. Louis is one of more than 1,800 worldwide affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International. Habitat for Humanity houses are sold with no profit made. Homeowners contribute "sweat equity," and house payments are recycled to build additional houses. The home has a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design LEED of Platinum. The up to 200,000 subgrant agreement is between St. Louis Development Corporation at Habitat for Humanity St. Louis was signed on 9/17/09. Several properties none to exceed 200,000 will be addressed through this subgrant. At this property, PAH- and lead-contaminated soil was removed and a single-family home was built. Cleanup complete = date recipient, upon recommendation of environmental professional, determined & documented that on-property work was finished.

Former Use: Property has always been residential, but due to the industrial history of the City of St. Louis, lead and PAH contamination has occurred. This parcel is titled "2918 Thomas Street, New" because it is a larger parcel that was redrawn in 2009. The former parcel, by the same address, had assessment work done by LRA under BF 98797401 and by MDNR under and EPA Section 128a State/Tribal grant.
