Additional Property Attributes

The Massachusetts DEP has been informed of this property and they issued a Notice of Responsibility to Amerigas Corp. No further action has occurred.

Former Use: This site was formerly the location of a gasification facility and propane distributor for over 60 years. It is located in a residential neighborhood and is currently vacant and overgrown with vegetation. There are no buildings located on the site and a chain link fence and retaining wall surround the property. The site abuts Deardon Memorial Field, which is a 4 acre baseball field. The property was recently owned by National Propane C/O AmeriGas Propane but the company refused to acknowledge ownership. The Town of Ware later took the property for non payment of taxes.
