Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property was used for gold mining from the 1880's to 1913. The mine was documented to use mercury for extraction of the gold. Historically, mercury used for mining was released into the environment. Since the mine and piles of rocks likely to have been excavated from the mine are adjacent to the Klamath River, it is plausible that there may have been mercury released into the hillside and River. A portion of the subject property currently houses a residence and an Above Storage Tank AST that supplies fuel to the residence.

Former Use: Former hydraulic gold mine owned by by JC Gis was operated from 1880's to 1913. Mine documented to have used mercury. Yurok Tribe currently ownes the property.
