Additional Property Attributes

This property is adjacent to the Red Cross site that was cleaned up under an EPA grant to the Medical Business District. It is being acquired for use in combined site development. The results of the Limited Subsurface investigation indicates no groundwater in investigation area from 18- 30 ft. bgs. OVA monitoring did not detect any VOCs. Report concludes no need for additional assessment or concern for offsite impact form this site.

Former Use: This property is directly east of the Former Red Cross site abated with BF funds. Land has been vacant for many years. Enercon Phase I report recommends limited subsurface investigation due to RECs on adjacent/nearby properties, including a former gas station east of the property, and OCC recoreds of several USTs historically located within 500-1000 feet of the property. Additionally, several petroleum compounds were detected in a TBA done on the Red Cross site immediately west and adjacent to the site in shallow soils- contaminants included naphthalene, diesel, gasoline, and benzene, although none of the detections exceeded the USEPA residential Medium Specific Screening Levels MSSL.
