Additional Property Attributes

The age of the three story building and the fact that the facility was once used for printing DC Govt facilty from 1960 until at least 1966 could be a potential source for Asbestos Containing Materials ACM and chlorinated compounds. It should be noted that four RCRA violations were issued to the DC Government Printing facility and also a north adjacent property was occupied by a printing ink manufacturer from before 1935 until at least 1999. USTs were removed from the facilty in 1991 and the site became a LUST site and four monitoring wells were observed at the site during this investigation but were not sampled.

Former Use: The property occupies approximately 0.67 acre on the south side of Channing Place, N.E. and the east side of Reed Street,N.E and consist of three lots and is addressed 805-909 Channing PLace, N.E.in Washington D.C. The three lots occupy a total of 98,455 sq feet of land and has approximately 245 sq feet of frontage on Channing Place, N.E and 110 sq feet of frontage along Reed Street, N.E. The subject property is improved with a warehouse constructed in stages between 1923 and 1951 and is described as a three story old building and in poor condition and was used for printing and is currently owned by Jemal's Channing Pl. LLC.
