Additional Property Attributes

The Pavella's Pit site is located west of the sewage lagoons on a native allotment. During the site investigation the IGAP representative and the consultant were unable to find any exposed waste. A discussion in a meeting with the consultant, revealed that this waste was moved to the new landfill. Two small dumpsites are along the side of the creek drainage where residents previously dumped trash over the edge of the hillside. At the northernmost portion of the two dumpsites, several empty metal containers were observed. A small boat motor, scrap metal, and plastic including a motor oil container were exposed at the top of the hill in a separate dumpsite about 120 feet south of the first site. Other potential sources of contamination at this site include fuel containers, motors, paint cans and lead-acid batteries.

Former Use: The Pavella's Pit site is located south of the sewage lagoons. Two additional dumpsites are located in small drainages leading into a creek approximately 0.25 miles south of the sewage lagoons. The site is a native allotment and is currently owned by Tim Pavella.
