For more information on the Center itself--its project timeline, the NACEA Board, Staff, and project Design/Planning--please visit this website: http://www.theamericanindiancenter.org/the-center. The museum is now called First American's Museum (FAM) and is owned by the Chickasaw Nation. Former Use: This site is located north of Burlington Northern railroad tracks, south of Interstate 40, east of Interstate 35, and west of Reno Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.the property has been unoccupied with the exception of a motocross track, one active oil/gas well, two non-producing oil/gas wells, a salt water injection well, and two tank batteries along with numerous oil/gas distribution and high pressure transmission underground pipelines. The planned use of the property is for the future construction of the American Indian Cultural Center. On March 13, 2023, The Oklahoman new posted a news article stating that the OKANA resort building is being constructed next to the First American Museum and the OKANA development is $400 million dollars; this is located within "Area I."
