Additional Property Attributes

This assessment revealed no evidence of REC's in connection with the assessed property except for documented contamination on the assessed property and contaminant migration from off-site

Former Use: Property was occupied by a gasoline station from the late 1960's and then used for auto repair/tire sales from the late 1970's until at least 2003. The gasoline UST's and pumps were reportedly removed in the late 1970's when the property use changed. Studies completed by LaBella Associates and SECOR from 1997 through 2006 identified petroleum contamination was reported to NYSDEC as Spill #9710942. Remediation was conducted by SECOR in 2006 on behalf of Atlantic Richfield. The NYSDEC issued a NFA letter in 2007 for the spill. Additional studies were completed in 2008 and 2009 which confirmed petroleum contamination remained in soil and groundwater. As a result, NYSDEC assigned a new spill #1007029 and undertook further investigation. In April 2011 contaminated soils were excavated and removed from the adjoining Tip Top property. The status of spill #0813668 on the Tip Top property is "active". In May 2011 a NYSDEC contractor excavated the petroleum-contaminated soils from the assessed property
