Additional Property Attributes

The City of Cheyenne is in the process of developing a City Park on 35 acres located in a low income area that had previously been vacant property used as a dumping ground for household goods, tires, concrete, and other debris. During site investigation, a TCE groundwater plume was discovered that could potentially impact the newly renovated Community Center vapor intrusion, the newly realigned creek Clear Creek and adjacent enhanced wetlands. The City applied for and did not receive an EPA Brownfields Assessment grant in 2009-2010. The Master Plan for Romero Park includes multi-purpose playing fields, playgrounds, natural areas with trails, the Community House and Youth Activity Center, and the enhanced wetlands along Clear Creek.
