Additional Property Attributes

The site has a three story residential building comprising of eight apartment units and currently occupied.Due to the age of the three story residential building within the site, it is percieved to be a potential source of Asbestors Contaminated Materials ACM. None of the Sanborn maps reviewed showed any evidence of the site being occupied by gasoline stations, drycleaners or other industrial/manufacuring operations or aboveground storage tanks ASTs. None orphaned facilities investigated during this study appeared to be located adjacent to or close proximity to the site thus indicating that the facility is not likely to represet an environmental concern.

Former Use: The site is situated within a mixed residential area of the Congress Heights neighborhood of S.E. Washington DC and about 1500 ft east of Interstate 295 and 2000 ft east of Bolling Air Force Base. The site is improved with a three-story apartment building which was contructed inthe 1940 and is subdivided into eight residential apartment units currently occupied. No landfill or dumping facilities, dry cleaners, medical or dental offices, industrial/manufacturing, or gasoline station operations were identified at the site and site owner was not available for interviews at the time of investigation to obtain any historical information.
