Additional Property Attributes

The subject property consists of one parcel of land occupying approximately 0.53 acres. The property is developed with an approximately 3,615 sq. ft. building resting on a concrete slab on grade. Historic data sources indicate that the subject property was initially developed as an Inn, gasoline filling station, automotive repair center, and automotive dealership. Automotive sales/service and gasoline filling station activities appear to have ceased in the 1960s. The subject property has been utilized for various retail operations since that time. A 1961 Sanborn map of the site details the presence of three underground storage tanks on the northern portion of the property and two underground storage tanks on the south side of the property. No UST registration/assessment data demonstrating that the USTs have been removed from the subject property exists. Additionally, no site characterization i.e. soil/groundwater sampling has previously been conducted on the property. The property is currently owned by the Patricia Decker Trust, which acquired the property involuntarily through a Distribution of the Trust of Mr. William Decker. The Authority intends to utilize Hazardous Substances grant monies for the completion of an asbestos survey in support of renovation/demolition of the building in association with the potential redevelopment of the site as a medical supply store. Additional site characterization of the property in association with historic automotive service/USTs would be conducted utilizing Petroleum Assessment grant funds.
