Additional Property Attributes

This property is included in the East Billings Urban Renewal District, which is the grantee, Big Sky Economic Development Authority's BSEDA, and the City of Billings' effort to proactively address economic stagnation issues in the area east and adjacent to Downtown Billings. In addition, the East Billings Urban Renewal District will help implement the recommendations in the 1997 Downtown Billings work Plan. Grantee has no other relationship with the owner, other than the property being situated within the District's footprint. The property contains one 4,000 sq. ft. Quonset warehouse. The lightweight prefabricated structure made of corrugated galvanized steel with a semicircular cross section contains a concrete floor and has fluorescent lights. The western approximate 2,400 sq. ft. of the warehouse contains an artist's studio and apartment. Acrylic paints are used ni the studio. The eastern approximate 1,600 sq. ft. is utilized by the property owner as dry storage.

Former Use: This address is listed as 427 North 20th Street on the Montana Cadastral on-line parcel locator database. The property was vacant land in 1912 with roads present to the north and west. A railroad line was present in the south. In 1948, it was listed as "truck parts." It was occupied by HCL Equipment ni 1963 and listed as Grain Thumb in 1989. It was occupied by harper Tool in 1995 and 2001 and listed as residential in 2010.
