Additional Property Attributes

The two story office building located at the northeastern corner of the property was constructed in between 1903-1907 and could be a potential source of Asbestors-Containing Materials (ACM) because of its age. It should be noted also that the Subject Property was formerly occupied by an iron works facility which include a foundry. Metals and Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) contamination may be present in soil and groundwater on the subject property.

Former Use: The subject property is rectangular in shape and is located west side of 22nd Street, S.E. Vehicular and pedestrian access to the site are restricted by a fence which sorrounds the property. The northeastern corner of the subject property is improved with a vacant office building which was part of an iron works facility that has ben demolished. The office and iron works facility were constructed between 1903 and 1907. The southeasten portion appears to have been a parking lot, and is paved with asphalt which is in a poor condition. The location of the former iron works facility is covered by grass and a one story slab-on-grade garage located on the southern boundary which appeared to have been used for storing miscellanous material exists.According to the District of Columbia property records, the subject property is owned by Samuel Graham Sr., addressed 7331 Hanover Parkway, Greenbelt MD., 20770 and has been occupied by Columbia Iron Works since the facility was built between 1903 and 1907 until sometime in 1999. Since then, other tenants like Anacostia Finance Corp and Sugi Wood Corporation and many others have shared the site structures with Columbia Iron Works.
