Additional Property Attributes

Lead-based paint and fluroescent bulbs noted as RECs within building. Phase II recommended for the property.

Former Use: The site is a one-story building with 22,000 square feet in useable condition but needs repairs. Past site uses include woodworking and a shoe factory. The city council voted to purchase the property. In 1998, a public survey was taken and the number one comment was the need for a community center. Palmyra Area Community Betterment looked at the site several years ago with the idea of a community center that would house a theater, library, nutrition center, and meeting rooms. This idea was tabled at the time due to lack of funds to purchase the property.
