Additional Property Attributes

Vacant lot located between tow canals and adjacent to future Canalwalk. Potential future location of open space and/or recreation facility to complement Canalwalk. Applied for cleanup grant. Completed new AAI compliant Phase I. (PPF attached to QR 18, 10/1/06-12/31/06)

Former Use: Vacant lot. Former kitchenware manufacturer facility destroyed by fire in early 1990s and demolished by the city. City foreclosed in 1996 on property for delinquent taxes. 2013 update: Massachusetts Green Computer Center is now open across the street, generating substantial developer interest in the site. EPA-funded cleanup of the petroleum contamination is now complete.
