Additional Property Attributes

Randy Lee, Regional Water Quality Control Board, "Mission Bay project has been going smoothly with satisfactory work." Stephanine Cushing, San Francisco Environmental Health, "Mission Bay work is done and fine work."

Former Use: The property is located on Mission Bay Drive, between Seventh Street, Owens Street and Channel Street. The Mission Bay development, itself, replaces 300 acres of former rail yards and surface parking lots with a new transit oriented urban neighborhood, served by five light rail stops, multiple buses and shuttles, and the terminus of Caltrain. At full build out Mission Bay will be comprised of 6,000 residential units, including 1,800 affordable 30, 4.4M SF of office and lab space, the University of California, San Francisco's UCSF premier 43 acre campus, 2.65M SF Mission Bay campus, and a new 550 bed childrens, womens and cancer hospital. The Mission Bay project will increase the City's tax base by an estimated 6 billion and create tens of thousands of construction and permanent jobs.
