Property Highlights

Former Use: The area is currently a grass/weed covered vacant area near residences. The overall Corbin property was a stove manufacturing facility in the early 1900�s, and later used as a garment manufacturing facility. The site is currently vacant (vacant for more than 10 years).From approximately 1953 until approximately 1998, this area was the location of Thompson Pool, a public-use pool. After closure, the pool was filled with material from unknown sources. A soil sample analyzed from one location in the former pool area contained low levels of PCB�s, warranting additional assessment to determine the degree of contamination present.
