Property Highlights

Assessment activities performed using cooperative agreement funding consist of review and inspection of engineered controls implemented at site previously and related public outreach. Contaminants were identified during previous investigations.

Former Use: The site was operated by the City of Providence as a municipal landfill from approximately 1965 until 1975. Unauthorized dumping continued at the site following 1975. The site was redeveloped as the location of two municipal schools in 1999. Monitoring of engineered controls constructed at the site and public outreach activities are on-going.
