Additional Property Attributes

The Phase I Environmental Site Assessment revealed the presence of the following recognized environmental condition in connection with the property: � Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. is assessing residential and commercial structures within the Ajo town site to determine whether historic mining- and smelter-related operations in Ajo have resulted in elevated concentrations of metals in the soil Assessment of the Plaza Park has not been conducted. Since it is used in as a park additional assessment should be conducted and soil samples should be collected and analyzed for eight RCRA metals to identify potential impacts to soil and/or groundwater.

Former Use: Prior to 1931, the subject property was developed and used as the centerpiece for the downtown plaza in Ajo, Arizona. The property has been used for that purpose since that time. Currently, the subject property consists of large landscaped areas and there are several sidewalks that run throughout the park. An extensive sprinkler system irrigates the landscaped portions of the subject property and there is a large elevated circle of decorative block work in the southwest portion.
