Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Former gas station. Three ethylbenzene USTs and one 1,000-gallon used oil UST were closed onsite in 1968. On Dec. 21, 2010, SLDC subgranted an amount up to 30,000 to DeSales Community Housing Corporation for remediation of the site. The site, as a former gas station, was ineligible for the state VCP, and the role of the state in oversight of the cleanup is via the Tanks Section. The cleanup complete date is based on an environmental professionals opinion due to the results of the soil samples as mentioned below.. Three 3,000-galone gasoline, one 1,000-gallon waste oil, and one 1,000-gallon kerosene tanks were removed from the site. Approximately 1,000 gallons of water was found in the waste oil tank and was properly disposed. Approximately 250 gallons of useable product remained in the kerosene tank, and approximately 220 gallons of residual sludge/rinsate remained in the other tanks. These materials were drummed for subsequent disposal. After removing the tanks, the tanks were cleaned, crushed, and hauled for recycling. A total of 63 cubic yards or 95 tons of impacted soil was excavated and disposed. None of the remaining backfill or closure samples exceed the Tier One Soil Type One Non-Residential Risk Based Target Levels.
