Additional Property Attributes

The former hospital structures were properly abated, demolished and many of the materials were recycled, including reuse on site. The improvements include a quarter acre public event space adjacent to Henley Street Bridge, a parking garage and five floors of apartments. Additionally, the development has made critical improvements to the adjacent public right of way, Blount Avenue by installing new utilities, new traffic signals, new sidewalks, medians and landscape.

Former Use: The property was previously developed with a vacant medical professional building, associated parking lots, and a concrete water cooling structure. The medical professional building primarily contained medical office suites on seven floors. Historical documentation indicates the property was occupied by medical facilities in the past. Prior to construction of the professional building in 1956, the property appears to have been vacant.
