Former Use: The small greenhouses occupy an approximate 2.5 acre parcel on the Moapa Band of Paiute Reservation in Moapa, NV. The Tribe successfully operated a commercial vegetable operation which included small greenhouse, two large greenhouses and packing plant in the mid-1970s to approximately 1980 when a flood of the Muddy River destroyed much of the greenhouses, packing plant and related facilities. A Phase I ESA performed on the small greehhouse indicated that transite panels covering the exterior of the small greenhouse from ground level to approximately 3 feet contained asbestos. These panels were removed using Nevada 128(a) Brownfields funding.
