Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property consisted of vacant land and two residential dwellings from at least 1928. The current manufacturing building on the property was built between 1949 and 1954. The property has been known as King Manufacturing Company, manufacturer of cleaning compounds, from 1949 until 1979. The residential dwellings on the property remained until at least 1950. By 1967, the area occupied by the residences was converted into a parking lot. The property was also known as Phillips Custom Blending Inc., chemical manufacturers, from 1982 until 1996. Between 1997 and 2000, Bergishagen Holman Industries accounting, auditing, bankruptcy, King Manufacturing Company, and Phillips Custom Blending all operated at the property. King of All Manufacturing specialty cleaning, polishing, and sanitation solely operated the property after 2000. The building was left vacant after 2003. The Genesee County Land Bank took ownership of the property in 2004. The redevelopment of this property will help to eliminate public health threats that might be associated with the property, remove blight, and return the parcel to the tax rolls. It will also provide the community with an improved appearance.
