Additional Property Attributes

This site was a vacant paved lot along a commercial corridor undergoing significant revitalization. The owner worked with the City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services Community Watershed Stewardship Program to develop the property as a publicly accessible greenspace. The Portland Brownfield Program funded the Phase I and Phase II ESA. A non-profit called Depave worked with volunteers to cut and haul away the asphalt and additional community volunteers helped build and grow the gardens. This property is now home to the Fargo Forest Garden, the first privately owned OSALT project in the "Food in the City" program.
