The University of Montana Forum for Living with Appropriate Technology UM FLAT Flat �is a student-driven green living demonstration project located at 633 S. 5th Street East�, working to re-purpose and transform an average Missoula residential lot into a vibrant space for community building, education, and innovation.� With asbestos abatement, UM Flat was able to obtain and install solar panels on the roof of the UM Flat house, the first such panels at the University of Montana.

Former Use: Formerly a private residence, now owned by the University of Montana and utilized for residence, instruction, meeting space, etc., by UM Flat.
