Additional Property Attributes

BTA conducted for Northwest Kansas Regional Planning Commission NWKPC to aid in the retention reuse of a service station located in Sylvan Grove. According to the NWKPC, the brownfields assessment will result in the retention of two full-time permanent positions within the community. The property has historically been used as a filling station and the lending institution is requiring a Phase I. RECs were potential petroleum and hazardous substances associated with the historic filling station on the property, current day filling station and AST system on the property, stained pavement, and the known petroleum contamination from historic releases. a Phase II identified petroleum in groundwater. The contmination is being addressed through the KDHE Storage tanks program and further assessment through Brownfields is not warranted.

Former Use: sevice station since 1978
