Additional Property Attributes

The Site is located adjacent to the Los Alamitos Elementary School. Based on historical site information, it was occupied by railroad tracks since 1930s until the late 1980s. The railroad tracks were subsequently removed, and the Site was converted to a temporary parking area for the elementary school until it could be developed. Development of the Site was derailed as a result of the discovery of arsenic contaminated soil. The cleanup of the Site allowed for the development of modernized parking and student drop off facilities to address physical safety concerns at the school.

Former Use: The property was owned by Union Pacific Railroad since the 1930s and susequently aquired by the Los Alamitos Unified School District through condemnation.
