Additional Property Attributes

In January 2012, the City's Brownfield Program completed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) facilitating the construction of about a mile of the 1.5-mile Southwest BeltLine Connector Trail to Beecher Hills Elementary. The land acquisition and trail construction totaled around $1.5 million (the entire connector trail cost estimate was $9 million). No environmental recognized conditions (ERCs) were identified during the ESA. Since it opened in late 2013, the trail has become a popular way for residents and visitors in Beecher Hills neighborhood to access the City's 48-acre Lionel Hampton Park and nearby Utoy Creek.

Former Use: Wooded, linear easements, centrally bisected by sanitary sewer lines, encroached upon by a concrete pad associated with the adjacent Beecher Elementary School playground, owned by City of Atlanta Schools.
